Three men charged following a multi-million euro drugs seizure in north Dublin have been sent forward for trial.
They were arrested in May after Gardaí intercepted what they believe was the handover of a shipment of cannabis in the car park of Ikea.
Over €5m worth of cannabis was seized when officers from the Garda National Drug Unit moved in on May 2nd.
90 kg of the drug were found after a van and car were searched in the IKEA car park on the Ballymun Road.
Another significant seizure was made during a follow up search at a unit in a north Dublin business park.
Three men, each facing five charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act, appeared in court today.
36-year-old Sean Mahony from Donomore Crescent in Tallaght arrived on bail.
His two co-accused Cornelis Van Gent (72) from Rotterdam, and Peng Cheng, who is 22 and also lives in Holland were brought to court in custody.
Books of evidence were served on all three today and an order to have then translated into Dutch for Mr Cheng and Mr Van Gent was granted.
The three accused were then sent forward for trial to the next sittings of Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
